A Florida federal judge has given final approval to a $14.75 million settlement brought in part by Class Counsel Ryan Casey. The settlement compensates tens of thousands of consumers who were allegedly denied the opportunity to purchase the cheaper generic alternative to Adderall XR due to the brand manufacturer's unfair business practices. The Honorable Joan A. Lenard, of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, held that the settlement was fair, reasonable, and adequate. The case is Barba v. Shire, No. 13-21158 (S.D. Fla. filed Apr. 2013).
