ABOUT THE CASEY LAW FIRM, LLC


Firm Started in 2016, the Casey Law Firm is dedicated to protecting consumer rights and ensuring fair business practices through aggressive and complex litigation. Ryan Casey has held numerous leadership positions in a wide array of consumer class actions, in both federal and state courts. Though based in Frisco, Colorado the firm has developed a national practice through its strategic partnerships and leadership roles in multi-district litigation.

Jensen v. Cablevision Systems Corp., et al., No. 17-100 (E.D.N.Y. filed Jan. 6, 2017)
The firm serves as co-lead counsel for a national putative class of Cablevision internet subscribers. Plaintiffs allege that the defendant’s broadcast of a second, public wi-fi signal from the wireless routers of its customers violates various laws, including the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act and New York consumer protection laws.

In re: Dollar General Corp. Motor Oil Marketing and Sales Practices Litigation, MDL No. 2709 (W.D. Mo. filed Dec. 2015)
The firm serves as part of a litigation team representing a putative class of consumers who purchased obsolete motor oil from Dollar General stores across the country. The plaintiffs seek a number of remedies, including injunctive relief and damages, under various state laws prohibiting deceptive and unfair trade practices. The firm is co-lead counsel in a similar case against Amalie Oil Company relating to its sale of obsolete XCEL Premium motor oil: Opalka v. Amalie AOC, Ltd., No. 18-019664-CA (Fla. 11th Cir. Ct. filed Jun. 14, 2018).

Barba et al. v. Shire U.S., Inc. et al., No. 13-21158 (S.D. Fla. filed Apr. 2013)
The Casey Law Firm is co-lead counsel for a nationwide class of indirect purchasers of Adderall XR, a popular prescription drug used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. Plaintiffs allege that the drug manufacturer illegally extended its monopoly and deprived consumers of less expensive generics. The case has settled for $14.75 million and final approval was granted in November 2016.
